A few changes since I last posted some nine months ago. I moved, I left the lobbying world, I helped get two women elected to the U.S. Senate, I've become a deadbeat Wiki-dad, have a few new shows to follow, I have a new gaming system, started reading a reactionary rag, and have new toy.

The fact that I actually have a public web log has just been brought to my attention after I've totally ignored it for quite a few months. I do actually want to start blogging again because not only have I missed it, but I feel like I'm more of a part of the online community when I do blog.

I actually put quite a bit of work into my new design and then just stopped blogging. So my goal is, before the end of the day, to have something new up.

I'm planning on re-doing the entire blog, from the ground up, using CSS.

I love Movable Type, so there's no way I'm dropping that. I just got a new plug-in that shows the word count of the entry (not that it really matters). [The Movable Type Word Count Plug-In].

Huzzah! I have finally figured out how to beat the damn spammers who try to take advantage of the comments in my site. There is a great movable type plugin called MT-Blacklist, and it works wonders for getting those stupid ads out of my comments, instantly!

Now I'm pissed, some damn internet gaming site has decided to spam my blog, every single entry I have has a one if not two comments advertising their service. Well, I banned their IP (209.49.85.10) and I'll try to delete them all, but this just pisses me off. Luckily I have Movable Type remove all HTML code from comments, so their posts look like this:

Yeah, so I've been pretty busy lately, and there hasn't been much in the news that I really felt like taking on, but I will be back soon with new content and entries and hopefully info about my Cuba trip.
