Finally, somebody is saying something about the abomination that is people who eat shrimp:
There is a great way to store files that are frequently used, and that is on a RAM Disk. You can use this great program called RamDiskXP to set aside a decent chunk (I have around 75 Megs) of your ram to be used just like a hard drive, and if you know anything about computers, you'd know that RAM is WAAAAYYY faster than a hard drive. So, you create a RAM disk (that actually backs itself up when you shut down and restores itself when you boot back up) and set internet explorer to use that drive to store your temporary internet files. Now when I surf the web, I don't hear my harddrive click at all, and whenever I want to install something, I quick copy the installation files to the ram disk and it is like 5X faster than off of a CD or the hard disk. Huzzah! I have finally figured out how to beat the damn spammers who try to take advantage of the comments in my site. There is a great movable type plugin called MT-Blacklist, and it works wonders for getting those stupid ads out of my comments, instantly!
